Veteran of the Month: Carl Stanton
The Veteran of the Month is an award presented to a veteran chosen by members of the Johnson County Senior Center. The chosen veteran is recognized during the Veterans' Cafe (first Wednesday of each month) and awarded a plaque paid for by Johnson County Bank.
Born and raised in Johnson County, Carl served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1973. Part of the 101st Airborne, he spent one year in Vietnam and retired with the rank of Sergeant E-5.
Thank you for your service. We are grateful for the sacrifices of all our veterans. Nominate someone for next month’s featured veteran in the box to the right. Awards are presented on the last Wednesday of each month for the upcoming month. |
